Ever shipped your freight as class 70 just to have the carrier re-classify it as class 125? When this happens, the freight charges sky rockets since the rate of the shipment is based on the freight class. The higher the freight class, the higher your freight charges.

Another scenario happening a lot these days is the carrier re-weighing your shipment. Some shippers will be surprised, but the weight of their pallets is much higher than they anticipated. This can be due to the use of extra heavy pallets and packaging supplies. It may be that you are not aware of the weight per pieces of the shipment.

These days, most carriers weigh each pallet. Most carriers have built in scales on their forklift digitally displaying the pallet weight on each pallet they offload in their terminal. These scales are certified and legally binding.

With our pallet rates program, we quote you a fixed price on your pallet up to a certain weight. The rate of your shipment will not change even if the freight class is a much higher class. You will also have peace of mind that your shipment can weigh up to our pallet rate maximum weight.

The maximum weight on our pallet rate program is based on the carrier used but is mostly 2000 lbs. per pallet. We even have some carrier contracts where our pallet rate can be up to 3000 lbs. per pallet.

So next time you have an extra heavy pallet shipment or you are not sure of the weight, gives us a call and we will quote you a special pallet rate for your shipment.
